Week In Review

Another great week in Fayette County!  I toured FDHS with Dr. Box.  Dr. Box was impressed by the design and use of the building, but more importantly with the Academies of Lexington and how we provide intentional support to students.  I visited CGWA and praised our 7th grade students for their academic accomplishments this marking period.  I was able to share with them my report card and how victory in the classroom is not an option.  I commended them for their hard work and making honor roll and encouraged them to do the same next marking period.

I also attended our Envision Math professional learning for secondary teachers.  Kudos to Natalee for organizing this support!  On this occasion, I also met with the Pearson team to review where we are and where we need to go with deep implementation of the Envision program.

Other highlights from the week include visiting principal Beal at BMS and conducting a learning walk, as well as, visiting with BSHS leadership team to learn how everything is going with high school transformation.
