Equity and Social Justice

This past week, FDHS freshmen students invited distinguished leaders from our district and community to share with our scholars the work our leaders are doing to address equity and social justice. Kudos to our leaders who gave of their time to speak with our students and addressed their concerns.!

I also attended Mayor Gorton’s first ever State of the City and County address. Mayor Gorton outlined her priorities for the city/county and I was pleased to hear that this will include jobs/workforce development, safety, and infrastructure improvements. I look forward to working in partnership with our newly elected mayor to address these and other priorities that will continue to move our city/county forward!
