Another Great Week in Fayette County

This past week was exciting and full of accomplishments! We held our monthly planning meeting and shared with our board and public an update on the changes to the state accountability system, changes to our middle school athletics handbook, and provided an update on the FY20 tentative working budget.

I also attended the KASS Summit meeting where we heard from Governor Bevin and other leaders in our General Assembly who shared the 2020 education agenda and priorities for the state.

I had the opportunity to visit Rosa Parks during our cabinet meeting and learned firsthand how principal Barrow and our teachers/staff are continuing to move the school to greatness and beyond!

Other school site visits this past week included “Twitter Friday” where I visited schools across the district to spotlight our outstanding educators and staff and to highlight the wonderful learning experiences that are unfolding daily in our classrooms.. Kudos to ACE, Hayes, GME, Liberty, and Picadome!
