Governor Beshear visits Carter G. Woodson Academy

This week, Governor Beshear visited CGWA, a college prep. academy for males of color serving students in grades 6-12. During the visit, Governor Beshear visiting classrooms and answered questions from students before conducting a press conference to share his investments in public education.

Also this week, we held our annual Career Expo for our academy students to explore the world and find their future! Kudos to the businesses and post-secondary institutions for participating in this year’s expo!

We held our annual Legislative Luncheon at Southside CTE. We were able to share our board’s legislative priorities with our state delegation. Kudos to chef Olert and our culinary students for another great meal!
