Another Great Week in Fayette County Public Schools

This week we launched our strategic planning process by holding work sessions with internal and external stakeholders.  This process builds upon the One Community, One Voice and Vision 2020 community engagement plans, as well as, the superintendent’s search process and my entry plan work.  Next steps of this process will involve broader community stakeholder engagement and conclude with the board’s adoption of a new strategic plan for the district.

Also this week one of our beloved family members, Miss Ruby, celebrated her 50th work anniversary.  Miss Ruby shared that the secret to working 50 years for FCPS is to smile all the time and love what you do.  What sage advice from a wonderful person!  Kudos to all of our food service family members for all that they do each and every day!

Lastly, I attend the Lafeyette football game.  Although the outcome was never in doubt, I commend LHS for their spirit of competition and display of sportsmanship.  Kudos to all of those in attendance who came out to support LHS and the Pride of the Bluegrass marching band.
