HC Orchestra performs their annual Winter Concert

The HC Orchestra performed on Dec. 13 in the Henry Clay theatre. The night began with the Repertory Orchestra performing “Palladio” and “Appalachian Carol.” Orchestra students Tobias Cox, Elizabeth Brown, Haley Drake, Anne Baskin, Sabrina Lozada, Tserenpuntsag Davaadorj, and Eli Flomenhoft performed “Canzonetta.” Dilni Abeyrathne, Katherine Henderson, Erin Caudill, and Catherine Dalton performed “Wachet auf.” The Chamber Orchestra followed these group performances with “Troika” and “Fantasia on Greensleeves.” Symphonic Orchestra put on “Royal Fireworks Overture” and “The 3-Minute Nutcracker.” The show concluded with all three orchestras performing “Five Ukrainians in a Bell Tower” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” This concert was accompanied by Isaac Jones and Matt Skaggs on piano and percussion. The concert concluded with the students wearing Santa hats or Reindeer antlers while playing their final songs.
