Fall sports wrap up

The Devils have gained some serious accolades this season in a variety of ways. Gaining the attention of the state competing in statewide tournaments.

Football:
The Henry Clay Football team impressed the state this season making it to the second round of the playoffs, despite several injuries. After losing their star quarterback the Devils still managed to go 6-6 and topple a top ranked Scott County team by a sizable margin. Despite this disappointing loss in the second round, the team left Henry Clay excited for the next season with many starters returning.

Cross Country:

This season the team was able to greatly expand their membership and exceeded expectations at several meets across the state. A season record 5k of 18:22.40 was set by HC Sophomore Rob Gilligan in a very impressive race. The team also gained a new coach this season in English teacher Tommy Craft who has led the team with great success.

The HC volleyball team impressed  HC this season, winning the district championship as well as making it to the regional semi-finals. The 29-9-0 Devils also received an invitation to the Rocky Top Classic, a volleyball tournament in Tennessee. The team took time out to set up a boys volleyball clinic to gather interest for a potential boys volleyball team next year.

Boys Soccer:

The boys soccer team performed very this season with a record of 6-5-2 and made it to the State Semi-Finals. This is extremely impressive, especially considering they lost both their star player and starting goalie at different points in the season.

This season the girls soccer team went 11-6-3, winning the District Championship. They also impressed in Regionals, making it to the Championship game but unfortunately falling to Dunbar.
