Wrapping up the Dec. 12 2018 SBDM meeting
The Dec. 12 SBDM meeting began with the good news report. Six band members were selected for KMEA All-State band , six were selected for 2019 KY All-State Jazz Ensemble, and many students received distinguished or proficient in String Solo and Ensemble.
The SEC6 YTD Budget Report was approved. Fundraisers for Girls’ Lacrosse, Orchestra, and Track and Field were also approved. Field trips for Dance Team, Girls’ Basketball, Boys’ Basketball, and Wrestling Team were approved as well.
The meeting was concluded with the student report from HC student representative Merrick Moore. Moore discussed the improvement of student involvement and getting clubs to advertise their clubs in the cafeteria with posters. Moore also discussed the student concerns with safety measures.
HC Principal Paul Little addressed the emergency door exits that may be activated in mid January and metal detectors which may come in April. The emergency alarm on all exits will be activated during the school day and disarmed before the school day ends. Little also talked about the student badges that will be put into effect next semester.
The next SBDM meeting will be held Jan. 9 at 5:30 in the HC library.
