League of Women Voters promotes voting registration among seniors
As Sophomores and Juniors further their future by filling out paperwork for the ACT, seniors will be given the assistance needed to register to vote in homeroom March 3. The League of Women Voters will come to HC to promote voter registration and encourage all seniors who will be 18 by the next election to vote.
The League of Women Voters representative Kim Human sent this announcement out to students:
“The League of Women Voters will be on campus Tuesday March 3rd to provide information to seniors in their home room classes on voting, including why voting is important, how to register, what to expect at the polls and how to vote absentee. Be sure to bring your Social Security number with you to school that day to be able to register online to vote.”
One is able to register to vote online at GoVoteKY.org. On this website, you are able to update your registration, change your party affiliation, find your polling location, see a sample ballot, and find election results.
Seniors should be aware that this opportunity will come March 3 in their homerooms.
