HC weekend sports update
Upcoming is an action packed weekend of HC sports events, beginning Friday with our football and volleyball teams as they compete in post-season play.
Friday:
There is a HC home football game tonight Friday, Nov 6th against Madison Central at 7:30 in the 1st round of the playoffs.
Our impressive HC volleyball team, who has won both district and regionals tournaments this season, will compete in the State tournament this weekend in Louisville, KY. The first game will be played Nov 6th against Notre Dame, and if they win they will play again tomorrow.
Saturday:
Blue Devils soccer will face off in the State championship vs Covington Catholic at Dunbar on Saturday, Nov 7th at 5. The team is going after their 3rd state title after winning their most recent State trophy in 2010. Tickets are being sold today for half price ($5) in the cafeteria, and only 100 are being sold.
In HC cross country news, the 3A State Championship race will be held at Kentucky Horse Park. The girls’ varsity team will run at 1:30, followed by the boys’ race at 2:15. Both the boys and girls teams placed 3rd in regionals meet.
Also, our archery team plays a tournament on Saturday Nov 7th at B. Michael Caudill Middle School in Richmond, KY against other Fayette County competition.
