Community Invited to Comment on Draft Strategic Plan for FCPS

It’s with great excitement that I share with you that FCPS has posted a draft strategic plan for the community to provide comment and feedback directly on the website.

With input from more than 20,000 students, employees, families, and community members and the results of five external reviews conducted by independent auditors, FCPS has drafted a strategic plan outlining five imperatives:

• Excellent student opportunities
• Excellent staff
• Excellent schools
• Excellent support systems
• Excellent relationships

Remember that a strategic plan is written at a very high level. It will not include specific activities, but will instead outline the goals FCPS wants to accomplish and how to determine if those goals are met.
