District Safety Advisory Council Recommendations
I held a press conference to share the recommendations from our District Safety Advisory Council (DSAC). The DSAC met during the month of March meeting with national, state, and local experts to discuss school safety, mental health, juvenile justice, and social media. Following these meetings, the DSAC met to bring forth actionable recommendations to improve the safety of our children at school, home, and in the community. Recommendations provide achievable steps that lawmakers, schools/districts, families/students, and the community at large can take to increase safety.
